2013 is gonna suck
2013 is gonna suck
Dearest Mocha (almost named Xena),
You left this world too soon and no one knows why. I don’t believe in God, but I believe you’re in a better place. It’s been great having you by my side for 9 years. I’m going to miss you brushing your head against my leg every time you see me. I’m going to miss brushing my fingers along the brim of your nose. I’m going to miss your poop breath.
How do I tell the other two why you’re no longer here? Chompers and Rocky will never understand where you went and why you left so suddenly.
I don’t even understand why you left so suddenly. I want to smash my head and wake up from this nightmare, but I know it’s not possible.
If only my tears could revive you, I’d cry everyday.
Rest in peace, Mocha, Warrior Princess.
P.S., Chompers has been trying to hump Rocky. I don’t think it’s working out.
My Top 10 Pens
A list of my top 10 favorite pens. Some are just refills, because how it feels on paper is most of the experience when I’m drawing/writing.
1. Lamy Safari Fountain Pen (F/M)
-feels good on paper, nice ink flow
-can be a little messy with inksplosions
2. Pilot Hi-Tec refills
-have been getting into these pen projects on kickstarter and majority of them use pilot’s hi-tec refills.
-the refills are great and come in nice fine tips.
3. Copic Multiliner
-ink dries instand, comes in super, super fine tips
-did a series of drawings with a .05mm and .1mm
-kicks the sakura micron pens the curb.
4. Pentel Tradio “Fountain Pen”
-more of a felt tip than fountain tip.
-pretty good for expressive lines.
-unfortunately, refill is most of the pen.
5. Sharpie Pen
-didn’t like them at first, but they’re actually pretty good.
-nice and slim, dries fast, doesn’t get you high.
6. Rotring 600 Fountain Pen “Lava” Edition
-exceptional build quality. nice little nib. Doesn’t bleed as much as my Lamy’s.
7. Energel refills
-some of my favorite refills. comes in a variety of tip sizes. the fine ones are the best.
-i don’t recommend the needle tips, though. i’ve had a bad run of experiences with them. scratchy on paper and it just didn’t feel good. go with the metal tips.
8. Pentel Slicci
-a favorite among many, and i understand why now. nice fine needle tip. smooth application. light and compact size. cheap.
9. Morning Glory Mach II Liquid Ink Pen
-Thought it looked good. cheap price.
-Visible barrel filled with ink! loads of ink. good for the buck.
10. Zebra
-anything zebra is pretty good. their fine tip ballpoint pens feel really nice to write with.
-their multipens are awesome, too. the quality of their multipens compared to something like uniball or pilot’s dr.grip line is wayyyyy better. the clip is solid and grip feels better.`
totally not set in stone, but these are some good ones to check out.
